Authors for study score prefaces
by peter dietz
Dear friends of the list,
Corona times, trying times, an unpredictable situation, unfamiliar, confusing … it’s good to be careful not to forget that one is not necessarily a victim of this drastic change, but that you can be active and in good spirits. Given the unique opportunities offered by such an occasion, it would be a real pity to indulge in paralysing fears and unproductive rumination. Thoughts never thought before, bold ideas to redesign one’s life, deeper contact with oneself, surprising perspectives, promising and refreshing ... to me all this seems possible easier today than in our beloved, but actually mostly very stereotypical and predictable everyday life. Anyway the break is radical, and as far as Germany is concerned, the return to normal life will be slow and with an open end. I am very curious to see what fruits this quiet, yet so restless time will bring.
With this in mind, we have decided to antedate our regular call for preface authors and spread the new list now. Today, it’s a good time for what you usually don't have time for. We invite you to contribute a preface for the following works, which we are going to publish in our study score series REPERTOIRE & OPERA EXPLORER. Here is the list:

The series is dedicated to unjustly neglected works, which are no longer available or were never available before. It is a direct and idealistic response to the fact, that the repertoire of classical music is shrinking every day and many little known pieces are vanishing into oblivion. Our scores are a contribution to help the music revive and survive. Please visit our website www.musikmph.de., if you want to know more about our activity. There you will also find the catalogue of our study scores which will allow a survey of the fundamental idea of our publication work. In addition you find the complete list of future editions, which do not yet have a preface, here: https://repertoire-explorer.musikmph.de/en/preface-authors/
I wish you health, patience and courageous ideas
;-)
